Put a screen in kiosk mode

For a true full-screen display with no browser bar or buttons: run the player in kiosk mode, on boot, screen always on.

The player opens in the screen's browser at mistersignage.com/play. Some TV browsers add their own bar or a “fullscreen” button on top. For a perfectly clean display, use a kiosk mode: permanent full screen, auto-start, no browser chrome.

Android box or TV / Google TV / Fire TV (recommended)

  1. Install Fully Kiosk Browser (free) from the device store.
  2. Set the start URL to https://mistersignage.com/play.
  3. Enable Kiosk Mode, Launch on Boot, Keep Screen On, and hide the system bars.
Fully Kiosk restarts on its own after a power cut and keeps the screen on — the go-to for a fleet of screens.

Samsung / LG Smart TVs (commercial / signage models)

These have a built-in URL launcher, no app: Samsung → Signage/Hospitality settings → URL Launcher; LG → commercial settings → browser in custom URL / kiosk mode. Point both at https://mistersignage.com/play. On a consumer TV (no such settings), plug in a small Android box and use Fully Kiosk.

Raspberry Pi or mini-PC

Launch Chromium full screen on boot: chromium-browser --kiosk --incognito https://mistersignage.com/play.

Good to know

The player goes full screen on the first remote key press, and includes a rotate (portrait/landscape) button in the top-right corner. Kiosk mode additionally removes the browser bar for a permanently clean display.
