Compatible Smart TVs & devices
What you need to broadcast: a screen with a recent browser and a connection. Here are the systems that work, and when to install the Android app instead of using the TV browser.
MisterSignage runs in the screen's browser at mistersignage.com/tv — no proprietary hardware. Two paths in practice: the TV's built-in browser, or the Android app installed on an Android box or TV. The app is more reliable for permanent use (auto-start, screen always on, self-restart after a power cut, full screen with no bar, remote updates).
The minimum required
- A screen (TV, box, tablet, PC, Raspberry Pi) with a recent browser (up-to-date Chromium/Blink or WebKit engine).
- An internet connection — content is cached to ride out a brief outage.
- A way to stay on and return to full screen after a restart.

When to choose the Android app
The player app downloads at mistersignage.com/apk. It is recommended whenever the device runs Android, and genuinely useful if you want: auto-start on power-on, a screen that never sleeps, self-restart after a power cut, full screen with no browser bar, and remote updates of the player. It runs on Android boxes, Android TV / Google TV, Fire TV and Android tablets. The step-by-step is in kiosk mode.
Good to know
Whatever the device, the screen opens the address, shows a code, and you link it from your account — see add a screen. For portrait or landscape, screen orientation.
